Manatee Bay

When booking a home in the keys, I have many check list to fill for our yearly family/friends vacation. This home checked them all and was way above my expectations upon arrival. The owners have really done an excellent job on the layout. With a party of 10 this vacation, there was plenty of room to be together or get away for some peace and privacy. All the areas outside to sit for different vibes were incredible!!! The ability to rent a boat and gas up right next door was a bonus!! To view sunset and sunrise such a plus!! The home provided everything you need to get started (tp,pt,soap etc) having 2 washers and dryers, so awesome!!! Location perfect for shopping!!, very peaceful property!!, Loved the 2 tv's outside by pool and tiki. House was very clean!!! Mallorie and Riley were very prompt and kind for any questions we had, would definetly book this home again, Thank goodness for folks that share their piece of paradise with us, We greatly appreciate and respect the home as if it were ours for a week of vacation!!!! We loved everything about this house. It had an amazing view. The outside area was great for hanging out after a long day on the boat. The covered pool area kept the bugs away for our little ones to swim in the evening. The rooms were spacious and loved the two levels to keep the families separated. Two sets of washer and dryers also was great for multiple families although we did notice a smell that transferred to our clothes so I would recommend they do maintenance. If I had to make a critique I would say the mattresses could use a upgrade as those were not very comfortable.

This house was well appointed and a perfect set up for two families with lots of children. Not only was the pool and spa just what we needed, but the trips to the cabana club was one of our favorite daily activities. All the games and extra touches made this house our favorite rental yet. We have been visiting KCB for 10+ years and plan to continue our yearly tradition.

I removed lower section and beat and scraped clean so she could enjoy boarding that day.
A 9:00 am checkout is unreasonable and not an industry standard, though does get us ahead of the Saturday traffic. Was said the size of the house needs the added time to clean...maybe the size of clean crew needs to match the size of the house.
All said, we do love Manatee Bay with 9+ rating and will be booking soon for Summer of 2022.

The house was perfect for our family. We had 6 adults and 4 children. The outside space is amazing. Enclosed pool, hot tub, and dining table. Lots of outdoor games that we really enjoyed. There were a couple of things that we didn’t like but are easily fixable. First would be blackout shades for the bedrooms. As soon as it starts getting light outside, you’re going to know. Second is the 0900 checkout. That’s way too early. The property management company was easy to deal with. We had a couple of issues and they quickly responded. Our family definitely recommends this house. We had a great time!!!

Bath towels stained and thin. Need a toaster that works for four slices of bread not just two. Need an electric can opener. Need a larger grill. Need water bags at the bar to keep the flys away.
Didn't catch the e-mail in time about us having to wash our towels prior to leaving. Never stayed anywhere that required such a rule.
Drawer in kitchen where aluminum foil broke, we fixed it. Pool bath door handle broke, we fixed it. Screen door in the breezeway needed to be fixed too.
Loved the location watching the boats go out, loved the bar and the outside dining table. We would definitly stay there again but bring our own towels.

The Manatee Bay property was awesome for our family week(Parents, college kids). The house was very clean and well maintained. Lots of space inside and out. The kitchen was very well stocked(we cooked almost all of our meals at the house, COVID still an issue)and very nice to have 2 refrigerators.
Beach towels were provided, so nice not to have to pack a bulky item. They also had several giant size games and other games to enjoy.
We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub and entire screened in area(We ate many meals outside).
The dock was good for our rental boat.
The property felt very private even though it is close to the marina. It was fun to watch the boats that came and went.
We saw a manatee on 4 different days. Not great fishing off dock or wall.
Walking distance to club/small beach, sunset park and town center(had a farmers market on Tuesdays).
We really enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again.
Only negative was the master bedroom mattress, definitely needs replaced.

Manatee Bay was perfect for our group of ten adults. The house is beautiful, very clean and well stocked. Even though our week was rainy, the outdoor covered area was a great place for us to hang out. After three days of rain, we decided the home was perfect rain or shine and booked a week in 2021. The Key Ocean team, Kayla and Mallory was very attentive to our needs. We had the opportunity to meet their maintenance man Squeak who suggested several restaurants and places to visit. We are all looking forward to our visit next year and although sunshine is preferred, we know Manatee Bay will not disappoint.

Manatee Bay exceeded our expectations. Three couples and kids embraced the space! The views are amazing, the extensive seawall was a great place to watch manatees, other boaters, fish, and paddle board. Two full sized fridges left ample space for al our food and drinks. The swimming pool was very deep, and the hot tub was a hit! Plenty of seating options to play cards, eat together, or just hang out with a drink under the tiki bar. Enjoyed, corn hole, Jenga, the ring toss, and various pool toys. THE A/C kept us very cool after a long day boating in the florida heat.

This was the best house we've stayed in Marathon. We had a great time using the entire property. The kids loved how big the pool is. Boating was very convenient with the fuel dock and bait shop right across the canal. And it takes no time to be into the open water. The property manager was very helpful and professional throughout the booking.

Based on the Covid -19 situation, we spent our annual Spring Break in the Keys mainly at the house. We felt extremely fortunate to have chosen this home. Between the large expanse of the home and the property, we had plenty of space to spread out. The amenities (heated pool, hot tub, outdoor games, tiki hut and high quality outdoor furnishings) both the adults and children always were entertained.
The fishing off the sea wall kept everyone entertained for hours at a time. The house and tiki hut have TVs everywhere, though we didn’t use them often. Best satellite TV service I’ve seen in a rental yet. It’s conveniently located to shopping, bait, restaurants and attractions. The two fridges allowed us to have food and beverages on hand,
Those, as well as the two washer and dryers allowed us to be blissfully self-contained with 9 guests. Would go back again! The management staff was always accessible, helpful and friendly. 5-Stars all the way.

We rented this beautiful home for a friends reunion and it was awesome! The layout of the house is perfect , very large main living area, spacious bedrooms spotless and all in excellent condition. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The screened in lanai is where we spent most of our time, with the pool, tiki hut, bar and sitting area. The view is amazing and we enjoyed watching the boats come and go and our daily visit from a manatee. There is so much to do and see in Marathon and they have so many great restaurants for the days we didn’t feel like cooking. This house was perfect for us and we have already booked for our reunion again next year. We can’t wait to return!

If you are looking for a relaxed vacation in the Keys this is the place for you. It's in a great quiet residential area and only a short walk to beach access. The amenities were great. There were five bedrooms to accommodate up to 10 people and they included everything you would need to prepare your own meals. We also found plenty of top notch restaurants only a few minutes away. You can relax by the pool or catch some rays on the sun deck. It's a great relaxing vacation venue.

Four couples had a blast (and had own rooms/bathrooms). The fishing in the backyard was so very beautiful it was almost a bother when I actually caught one. The boat bar under the tiki hut was my favorite place to watch the occasional boat go by but when a cold beverage wouldn't cool me enough I would take the ten steps to the terrific, very clean pool. Having a pass to the Cabana Club with its beach topped it all off. There is also Sunset Beach a couple blocks away where a bunch of folks sing at sunset, and one of the most amusing Par-3 golf courses I have ever played. We loved this.

We loved this home! It was perfect for our group. Every bedroom is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor space is huge. The pool is wonderful! We saw manatees as we sat by the water. Wonderful restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

It is a rare location that can offer the best of both worlds, but Manatee Bay does it! We spent a week at this location and could not have been happier. We went out and enjoyed the sun and outside activities for the first few days, then when we wanted to settle in around the pool, hot tub, and endless views the last few offered the peace and quiet necessary to rest prior to heading back to the cold grind of Missouri. There is enough space and amenities that we were able to enjoy family and friends in the pool area while others were relaxing in the AC watching a great movie on what must be an 75" TV in the main room. All of the fixtures are new and the place has a great feel. We enjoyed great food at the local restaurants and had a couple excellent dinners in-house with everyone pitching in! The day trip to Key West is a reasonable run down the highway, since Marathon is directly in the middle of the Keys! When you go, check out "No Name Restaurant" with thousands and thousands of dollars stuck to the wall and ceiling! A great vacation that offered the best of all worlds... can't wait till next year!

This is our third visit to Manatee Bay and each time there is some thing new in this rental. This time there was some new outdoor toys, Corn hole bags, Jenga blocks, and Connect 4. Kayla the rental manager said the owner is replacing all the AC units in the house in January. The house is maintained very nicely and is clean and bright. We had a few days or rain in Nov. and it didn't bother us at all. There are so many places to sit under cover and just read or play games inside and out, it was fabulous. We very seldom cook at the house with all the great restaurants in Marathon but the times we have the kitchen had everything we needed. We have stayed on canal houses but the scenery doesn't change much at Manatee Bay it's a new picture every day, with boats and birds going by. It's pretty cool to see a 70' fishing boat pass by the front of your house for sure! We had some bikes delivered to cruise around Key Colony which is a great place for that, it's a bike and walkers delight. Bedrooms were big and everyone had their own bathroom, that's a nice touch. we plan on making this place our vacation spot for many years to come. The management team actually drops by to get you settled the day you check in to show you how everything works. House is better than presented on site.

This is our third time down at Manatee Bay and it NEVER disappoints! The house has been recently updated and everything is beautiful and brand new! Whether you want to relax and hang out at home, MB has everything you need to have a great time. Waking up and having my coffee outside by the pool with that amazing view is the best. Then you can rent kayaks and motor around the bay, hang out back, go to the beach club - really the options are endless! The house is such a great size for a large group of people and still feels extremely spacious. It's also equipped with all of the latest and greatest technology, TVs outside and in the tiki hut, great WiFi, etc. The owners attention to detail from the bathrooms to the items in the kitchen and the tiki hut is unmatched. We saw manatees several times during our trip (hence Manatee Bay:)) This rental is perfect for anybody - you can decide to just chill and relax or party OR BOTH- choose your own adventure at Manatee Bay!

This place is so nice that you don't even need to leave the property to have a great vacation. But if you want to venture out, there are great restaurants and bars within walking or biking distance. Even the local farmers market and beautiful Sunset Park are just a couple of blocks away. You don't need to go any further than out the sliding glass doors and you can be in the hot tub or pool watching your favorite game on TV. Great outdoor table for 8 or 10 people to sit for morning coffee and breakfast or you can move over to the Tiki Hut and relax at the massive ship bar for some drinks while you fish or lay out catching some rays. You have water on two sides of the property and there are plenty of boats quietly trolling by for a day of serious fishing. And when it is too hot or too cool to enjoy tall that it offers outdoors, there is a beautifully renovated house that had room for 8 of us to relax and read, eat, drink, play games, do some high speed web surfing, or whatever puts you in your happy place. If you should get tired of all the delicious, nearby, local restaurants, there is a big kitchen with all the tools you need to whip up your own meals. The bedrooms are all easily accessible, private and quiet so you can call it a night while your friends and family keep the fun going. All the many features of the house are kept in immaculate condition and appropriately decorated for the good life in the Keys. The owners ensure that any problems with the property are fixed before you even know it needed attention.There is so much to see and do here that our last week just flew by so we can't wait to return for our third time at this island getaway with all the creature comforts we love at our own home.

This house is perfect for our family vacation to go fishing, snorkeling and lobstering for the mini season. This will be our 3rd consecutive season. Beautiful house that has become a home away from home!!

Awesome property. Was our 2nd Summer to stay and will return. Perfect layout inside and out...accommodates us fishing freaks. Cons: The A/C condenser near downstairs bdrm window is VERY loud when it kicks in, has an internal motor going out. We would prefer to have use of the boat lift that looks very functional...we get liability but our bunch is very familiar lifts,boating, safety, etc.

This was by far the best house we have stayed in the Keys particularly Key Colony. Accommodations were great. The best on the water backyard facilities. We watched the sunrise from our water view and the sunset relaxing in the pool or sitting at the Tiki Bar. You don’t need to leave the property except for food!

Just returned from a fantastic 7 days at Manatee Bay. One never knows quite what you'll get renting online but this place exceeded our expectations. We were 2 families - 4 adults and 4 kids - but the layout allowed everyone to have ample space. Further the pool and waterfront location provided endless fun as did the tiki bar. We'd rented a boat and the dock is in great shape and protected. It all felt like our own private resort. The kitchen was well appointed, the beach towels were great, the club access a nice perk (though one we barely used). Everyone agreed it was a great place to call home for a few days and if we return to Marathon we'd want to book it again.

As winter begins to settle in once again my wife and I started to think about our visit last year with some friends to Manatee Bay. We were fortunate that everyone was able to travel at the same time and we were all able to stay at this property. What an impressive place! It is very spacious, modern and has so many amenities. Being a kitchen kind of guy the large kitchen with its huge island made me want to cook up a feast for everyone every night. We quickly found out, however, that there are so many excellent restaurants in Marathon within a short distance that frequently dining out became the most popular choice (perhaps actually more a critique of my cooking? Nah, not possible). The extra large family room with pool table was a excellent gathering area and also a great place to congregate if it was raining outside. However we could also hang out in the sun or rain outside under one of the covered areas adjacent to the covered outdoor pool. Large boats would frequently pass by directly behind the pool area, and several times while walking along the water we were visited by some manatees. How great is was to experience those things essentially right alongside the property. We also really enjoyed walking and biking around Key Colony. Additionally a day trip to Key West was a fun day excursion, and only a little over an hour further down the highway. Overall this is an exceptionally maintained property in an excellent location and should easily satisfy just about any type of Florida Keys experience that one may desire.

There were 5 couples that stayed here the last week of January and we had a great time. The weather wasn’t the best for boating/fishing, but we made the best of the time together.
The home was very comfortable and had all the amenities that we were hoping for.
Not much else to do in the town if boating/fishing is not an option, so be prepared to travel to other keys, or bring board games etc. to keep you occupied.

We enjoyed fishing off the sea wall there and saw several manatees swim by. Plenty of larger fishing boats went by daily, so it was nice to watch them come and go.
We were able to go to the Cabana Club the one sunny day, and we really enjoyed that as well, so be sure to set aside a day for that.

Some of the ladies walked every morning and felt very safe walking around the area.

The Manatee Bay was all that we anticipated.
The house was perfect for our party of 9. The bedrooms being spread out gave a lot of privacy and having so many bathrooms was great. We had plenty of room for our 21 ft boat and jet ski. Having the bait shop right across from the home was so convenient for our sunrise fishing trips. Paulette and Kayla were very helpful in answering all of out questions before we arrived. We enjoyed a local restaurant called Island Fish Co., which will also cook your catch. All in all we had a great time and plan to do it again next year!

Just had one of the best vacations ever. You have all of Marathon at your fingertips with this perfectly located and well maintained home. Everything about this house met or exceeded our expectations. If your are looking for convenience to everything, either by boat or car, this is where you want to be. I researched hundreds of VRBO homes, and I am really happy we picked this one.

What a great spot! Lots of things to do within walking distance & a 10 minute drive, yet private feeling location overlooking a nice protected bay, large pool! & a perfect tiki hut for watching games & relaxing!! House has ample room for kids to enjoy themselves as well as adults to relax! Fishing & nearby restaurants are great. Families have access to a small beach & club at end of street as well. The dock along canal side was big & in great shape for our fishing boat we came down in. What a fun & relaxing spot to enjoy a vacation in the Keys!!

Everything with the house was great, and truly a wonderful location...particularly if you have a boat. A great spot for bait, ice and fuel as well as a restaurant are directly across the canal. the house was perfect for our needs and the outdoor dining was used for every meal. It was hot in early July, so access to the water and the pool were greatly appreciated. Paulette and Ally were also very helpful and kind in helping us plan our arrival and get situated. The only thing we missed was the fact that the new Tiki hut was still in the process of being completed - it is beautiful and we at least enjoyed it for shade...we will have to return to see the full bar when it take shape! By the way, the second fridge is well as the bait freezer in the carport and storage area...this house really has everything you might need.
