As you step outside of Vaca House, you'll be greeted by an outdoor living space featuring an outdoor kitchen, complete with a cabana and grill. A full bathroom is conveniently situated by the pool area. You can savor ample outdoor lounge space by the heated pool, enjoying the breathtaking views and sunsets that make this home a gem in the Florida Keys. Boating enthusiasts will particularly appreciate the location, with easy access to both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. The deep water dock can accommodate boats of up to 30 feet, including motors, and offers convenient features like a fish cleaning station, water, and electricity. Please note that the owner's boat is kept on the lift and is not for renter use, but this doesn't impact the available dockage.

On the ground level of the home, you'll find a fantastic open floor plan with a spacious living room and a luxurious kitchen. A beautiful dining area with an 8-seat table completes the picture. Large floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors frame the incredible view, and there's a bedroom with two twin beds as well.
The second level of the home features a generous master suite with a private bathroom. The master bath boasts his and her vanities, a spacious tub, and a stand-up shower. Exiting the master bedroom, you'll discover a relaxing balcony, the perfect spot for unwinding with a glass of wine or a good book. Two additional bedrooms feature king-sized beds, and a fourth bedroom comes with two twin beds, each with adjoining bathrooms. You'll also find a desk in the wide hallway.
Nearby, you'll have access to two public beaches and a state park. Coco Plum is just a 5-minute drive away, Sombrero Beach is 15 minutes from the home, and Curry Hammock State Park is reachable in 8 minutes.
Please note that trailer parking is not permitted, and arrangements for boat trailers must be made in advance. The property can accommodate up to three vehicles, and only one boat is allowed.
For your security, this house is equipped with security cameras.
Booking Policies:
Minimum Stay: A 7-night minimum stay is required by city regulations, with no exceptions. The city determines the maximum occupancy, and it cannot be exceeded, covering adults, children, and infants.
From November - April, there is an additional $150 charge/week for pool heat. We do recommend heating the pool during this time for optimal comfort and enjoyment. You may contact us if you do not want to have the pool heat on, for a $150 discount.
Cancellation Policy: We maintain a strict 60-day cancellation policy. If the cancellation is made at least 60 days before the arrival date you can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund, excluding processing and admin fees. If you cancel within 60 days of the arrival date and we are able to secure another booking for the same time by opening the calendar, you will receive a full refund, minus processing and admin fees. If we are unable to secure another rental for the specified time, the security deposit will be the only amount refunded.
Payment Schedule: Half of the rent and the security deposit are due seven days after booking online, with the full balance required 60 days before check-in. Payment options include credit card or check after signing the contract. A 3.5% fee applies to credit card transactions, which can be waived by opting for payment via check. Please inform us of your preferred payment method after booking. For last-minute bookings, a credit card will be required.
Contract: Upon confirmation of your booking by our office, you will receive an Adobe E-Sign contract for signing. Once signed, the contract will be automatically returned to us. Specify whether you prefer the first payment to be processed with the card on file or another Visa, MasterCard, or check. Payments are only processed after the signed contract is received, and all transactions are manually handled.

The Vaca house is perfect. This was our 8th year staying there. With 4 couples the 5 bedrooms each with their own bath works great. Mallory and her coworkers do a magnificent job and resolve any problems. We have already booked next year. Thanks to the owner for hosting us.

We had an amazing experience from the moment we stepped in to this home. The pics don’t do it justice. They have thought of everything. Keurig and coffee pot depending on your preference. Wet bar for making all the cocktails. Mini fridge in the master. Even a pot big enough to boil our lobster dinner (we cooked 8.) The view is breathtaking. And it’s close to the boat ramp and easy to get to! I highly recommend and we would definitely rent again if we come back to Marathon.

A check off list is needed before leaving a property. Light was missing in master bath my guest went and found a light to replace the empty socket, no directions for the jacuzzi, burt out cooking pan under the stove, ice machine some how was on its lowest setting, sorry I did not see this one, chairs for the beach at these accommodations should be included went a bought some for the home,ceiling lights are out in some areas, master TV was broken,marking some of the switches was very helpful
this is a beautiful custom built home and merits attentive detailing, otherwise was a great stay and could recommend this home at any time.

In the future, let us know about items like the light bulbs when you discover them, we would have gotten new bulbs over to you immediately. There are instructions in the home on operating the spa equipment and we are happy to come over and show guests how to use it, as we did for you. The home does include ample outdoor furniture for the pool deck, but not items to be taken off the property. We have ordered a new television for the master bedroom. A thorough check of light bulbs will be made, thank you for letting us know about the areas where the home can improve.

Fantastic property but ended on a sour note. Garbage truck there before 6:30 AM Saturday and was charged $50 by Keys Ocean Vacation Rentals for a can of garbage that was left from cleaning out the refrigerator the morning of departure.

Thank you for your review and we are happy you liked the property. As listed both in our contract signed and also in all the check in and out instructions we request that all trash be taken out the night before pick up so that it is picked up by the garbage company in the morning. We request that only a bag of trash be left at the home, which would be what you would use the morning of check out. Because this was not done, we do have to charge the pick up fee that is charged to us for picking up multiple cans of trash to be taken away from the home before the next guest.

We enjoyed our stay at the Vaca House. It is a beautiful property on the water with great access to the Atlantic ocean side of Marathon. With a few exceptions, everything was well maintained and clean. There were 8 people in our party and the house nicely accommodated all. The furnishing and appointments are top-notch and beautiful. Beds were comfortable, although some might find the front upstairs BR bed too soft. We were not thrilled with the rigid policy of a 9AM checkout on your day of departure. This did not allow us to enjoy our last morning of vacation. Also, the security lights around the house remained on all night and were very bright in the bedroom windows while sleeping. Other than that, a very good property. I would consider staying there again.

We do list the 9 AM Check Out time both online when booking and also in the signed rental agreement. The home is larger and in order for us to clean everything properly around the home it does take all day. We apologize that this was an issue but it something we do need to keep with in order to keep our top cleaning standards we have. We do wish you would have reached out about the lights as there are switches labeled "Flood Lights" to be able to turn those off.

My family spent a week at this beautiful home; for, it was a great location to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We found the home to be very well equipped inside and out with nice quality furnishings, Kitchen supplies, and outdoor necessities. The property was meticulously clean and maintained. The house was beautiful. To be facing the water and sunset was awesome. Only problem was that the couches in the living room were very uncomfortable. Some minor problems were taken care of by the handyman.

The entire experience from the initial contact with the agent, the property and receiving my security deposit back was outstanding. The location was excellent and we were able to watch all the boats going and coming to the ocean. and having a pool/hot tub next to the water made for a pleasant experience. The kitchen was large and up to date and the house was professionally decorated. The master BR was large and the marble bath with tub/shower options was appreciated.

Third year staying at the Vaca House!! Another fantastic stay! Besides the beautiful weather, the Vaca House provided everything we needed for a great vacation! Great views, nice pool, and loved the Tiki Bar!!!

We had a great time. The rental company was very responsive about the issues we had with the house. The house’s air conditioner in the upstairs room didn’t not keep the house appropriately cool. We were hot when we slept the entire stay. However the home is absolutely breathtaking and very comfortable. We would stay again because all the issues we had they fixed.

We spent our Spring Break with friends and family enjoying The Vaca House. The house was stunning and beautifully decorated and equipped with anything you might need. It was located in a nice quiet neighborhood and perfectly situated for watching the spectacular sunsets, walking to restaurants, jogging and taking advantage of the dock that made water activities easy and accessible. A few of our favorite spots that we visited more than once and were within walking distance of were Curly's Coffee, Marathon Bagel Co. and Sparky's Landing. The house accommodated our two families of 4 adults and 4 teenage girls with more than enough space to have meals together, enjoy both the indoor and outdoor community areas, and everyone having a bed to call their own. The house was immaculate when we arrived, and we noticed very few things that were not in pristine shape even though much of the Keys is still in disrepair from Hurricane Irma. Our only complaints were that we could not get the jacuzzi to reach a temperature that was much more than the pool and the AC unit on the main living level didn't seem to be working well. The dock still is showing signs of the recent storm, but nothing that impeded our activities. We enjoyed paddle boarding and fishing from the dock all week. The manatees, dolphin, iguanas and pelicans were so much fun to see right at the house. We also took a day trip to Key West which was an easy drive from the house. We had a nice dive/snorkeling trip with Captain Hook's and took a half day fishing trip with Sundance Sportfishing. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing and pampered stay in Marathon. I know that we hope to return and miss those amazing sunsets everyday. This house made our trip a special and memorable trip for all!

only suggestion would be to have at least 4 reclining pool chairs. Rental agent was very professional and cleaning company did a fantastic job of leaving the house spotless

2016 was our 3rd year in a row in this house. There is no better house for a multi-generational vacation. The location is ideal, the size is more than enough. Very large kitchen and dining area, outdoor grill, everything is just right. If fishing, you will be out of no wake zone in less than 2 minutes, and in vaca Cut. Fishing off the dock is lively, including Tarpon.
